Are you an irrigator concerned about matching your irrigation with crop water use? Are you interested in seeing new technology and sprinkler packages in-person? The University of Minnesota Extension is hosting a field day to accompany the Minnesota Irrigator Program (MIP), designed to help answer these questions and demonstrate in-field methods to gauge soil water content and maintain irrigation efficiency.

This evening event will be held in-person at Grant Anderson’s variable rate irrigation field in Belgrade, MN on Thursday July 28th from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided, and registration is free!

    Minnesota Irrigator Program

In addition to learning about the most effective irrigation management, this field day is a continuation of the Minnesota Irrigator Program that was hosted by University of Minnesota Extension in March. The MIP is one of the requirements to attain the Irrigation Endorsement of the Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program. If you missed MIP this year, don’t worry, we will be hosting the program again this coming winter.
