Purdue ag economists Michael Langemeier, Nathanael Thompson, and James Mintert will broadcast the May outlook monthly webinar at 1:00 p.m. EDT, May 16, 2022. The webinar will take place following the release of USDA’s May Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports.
Join the Center for Commercial Agriculture’s team to review new information from USDA and crop marketing strategies. Updates on South American corn and soybean production expectations, delayed planting progress in the Corn Belt, corn and soybean export prospects, ethanol demand, ending stock estimates, and corn and soybean basis along with farm income projections will be the main topics of discussion.

Participants can opt to register for the upcoming single webinar or the entire monthly series by checking the respective box on the registration form. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email with a link to view the webinar live at its scheduled time.
Participants who opt into the entire series of webinars can expect a monthly email reminder with the webinar date, time and login information and will not need to register each month. Those unable to join live can register to receive a follow-up email after the webinar to download the slides and view the recording.
