Texas Pecan Prices: Mostly Steady, Deliveries Remain Light

    This week has weather showing mild daytime temps in the low 80s cooling to evening lows in the mid to high 30s for the weekend. It will warm back up to the low 70s by next Tuesday with evening lows in the mid-60s.

    Lots with Blends (nut count mid 50s) 46-48% meat yield sold for about $4.20-4.25 mostly $4.20 per point.

    Prices paid to growers (Tuesday, December 07, 2021 thru late afternoon Thursday, December 09, 2021) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.

    • Cheyenne (deliveries very light) 52-54% meat yield 215 occasional higher
    • Native/Seedlings (deliveries light) machine harvested 40% meat yield or better 130-150 mostly 140, yard tree lots 75-80 mostly 80
    • Mixed Buds (deliveries very light) yard tree lots 70-100 mostly 80-100
    • Pawnee (deliveries insufficient to establish market)
