Texas Pecan Prices: Steady to Slightly Lower

    The weather forecast has mild and sunny days in the high 70s cooling down to the low 60s by Monday and Tuesday for next week. Evenings will be in the low 60s dropping to the mid 40s and low 50s early next week.

    Prices remain steady for Improved varieties and slightly lower for Native/Seedlings. Large lots of Blends (nut count 55-60) 50-52% meat yield sold for about $4.20 per point.

    Prices paid to growers (Tuesday, November 30, 2021 thru late afternoon Thursday, December 02, 2021) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.

    • Cheyenne (deliveries very light) 54-56% meat yield 185-220
    • Native/Seedlings (deliveries very light) yard tree lots 75-80
    • Mixed Buds (deliveries very light) yard tree lots 70-100 mostly 80-100
    • Pawnee (deliveries very light) 54-57% meat yield 185-220
