DTN Grain Close: Markets Mixed, Row Crop Harvest Ahead

    December contracts of soybean meal and KC wheat were on the higher side of Monday’s markets, while corn, winter wheat and November soybeans finished lower. USDA will have its first update of the national corn harvest later Monday afternoon.

    GENERAL COMMENTS:

    December corn closed down 4 1/4 cents and March corn was down 4 1/2 cents. November soybeans closed down 1 3/4 cents and March soybeans were down 1 1/4 cents. December KC wheat closed up 3 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 1 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 2 3/4 cents.

    The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.26 at 92.85. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 106.21 points at 34,713.93. December gold is up $2.20 at $1,794.30, December silver is down $0.15 at $23.75 and December copper is down $0.0910. October crude oil is up $0.65 at $70.37, October heating oil is up $0.0105, October RBOB gasoline is up $0.0046 and October natural gas is up $0.297.
