Corn and soybeans closed Friday lower after USDA’s WASDE report showed few surprises, but wheat prices finished higher with ongoing support from this week’s dry weather concerns.
May corn closed down 2 1/2 cents and December corn was up 1 3/4 cents. May soybeans closed down 12 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 10 cents. July KC wheat closed up 10 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 10 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 13 3/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.10 at 92.17. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 133.73 points at 33,637.30. June gold is down $16.10 at $1,742.10, May silver is down $0.34 at $25.25 and May copper is down $0.0450. May crude oil is down $0.31 at $59.29, May heating oil is down $0.0032, May RBOB gasoline is up $0.0019 and May natural gas is up $0.006.
