The Cattle on Feed report was mostly neutral with the exception of placements. This is not expected to have much influence on closer contracts but may have an impact on later contracts. Packers are expected to need beef to make up for lost time in those areas where the winter storm moved though, disrupting hauling and slaughter, but steady bids may be enough to get the cattle they need as feedlots may be willing to sell. Hogs may begin the week with a wait-n-see attitude.
