Oklahoma Pecan Prices: Moderate Demand, Light Deliveries

    Pecan harvest was light. Deliveries by growers to buying points are fairly light. Demand was moderate for good quality pecans. Gift box and retail trade continue to look out of state for supplies. Some growers in Oklahoma are starting to finish for the season.

    The weather forecast this week calls for high temperatures from the upper 40s to low 60s and low temperatures from the mid-20s to upper 30s. There is a 0 to 20 percent chance of precipitation on Thursday, January 14.

    Prices paid to growers (from noon Tuesday, January 5, 2021 through noon Tuesday, January 12, 2021) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound, in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.
