Oklahoma Pecan Prices: Slightly Higher with Moderate Deliveries

Pecan harvest continues to be active, and is expected to remain so during the upcoming week. Deliveries by growers to buying points are moderate. Demand was good for good quality pecans. Prices are slightly higher.

The weather forecast this week calls for high temperatures from the low 40s to the mid-60s and low temperatures from the low 20s to the low 50s. There is a 0-20 percent chance of precipitation on Tuesday, January 14 and Wednesday, January 15, a 20-90 percent chance of precipitation on Thursday, January 16, and an 80-100 percent chance of precipitation on Friday, January 17.

Prices paid to growers (from noon Tuesday, January 7, 2020 through noon Tuesday, January 14, 2020) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound, in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.
