The weather for this week and early next week shows the southern and central areas with mild temperatures with evening lows in the mid-60s and daytime highs in the mid to high 80s with the possibility of rain early in the week. For the north central and northern areas, forecasts will be a little cooler with a chance of rain over the weekend.
Deliveries are light and Pawnees still dominate the market. Moneymakers, Oconee and a few other varieties should be available to hit the market next week as growers are preparing for harvest and working in the orchards this week. Some of the accumulators and buyers have not opened their offices yet and they are out and about taking samples and making offers. Most should be open and ready for business by the third week in October.
