Louisiana: Industrial Hemp Informational Meeting, Alexandria, Nov. 13

Online registration for the LSU AgCenter’s Industrial Hemp Informational Meeting to be held in Alexandria, Louisiana, on November 13 is now open.

This meeting is an opportunity for interested parties to learn about the industry from experienced experts. Presentations from hemp researchers, producers, and processors from other states will educate attendees about this new and emerging crop. A panel discussion with LSU AgCenter faculty and an update from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry will follow the presentations. In addition, there will be exhibit booth spaces available for vendors to connect to future Louisiana growers.

Click here for Attendee Registration. The $25.00 attendee registration fee includes lunch and refreshments.

Click here for Exhibitor Registration. The $150.00 exhibit registration fee includes one 6’ table, two chairs (names of two attendees must be submitted in advance of the meeting), lunch and refreshments. In addition, exhibitors will have 1-2 minutes to introduce themselves and address all meeting attendees.

Advanced registration is required.

A detailed agenda will be posted as soon as possible.

The program will feature remarks by Representative Clay Schexnayder, Exhibitor/Processor Introductions, Invited Speakers, a presentation on the Economic Potential of Industrial Hemp in Louisiana, an LSU AgCenter Panel Discussion, a Regulatory Update from LDAF, and an Exhibitor Showcase.
