California: The John F. Mahaney Co. Sold to All States Ag Parts

All States Ag Parts is opening its first California location with the recent acquisition of The John F. Mahaney Company.

The Mahaney Company was founded by John Francis Mahaney. A Michigan native, Mahaney started his post-WWII work in Davis, California, as an agricultural chemical salesman working the state’s backroads. In 1951, he founded his own farm supply wholesale firm working out of his garage. He died in 2017. Today, The Mahaney Company specializes in agricultural, ranch and industrial hardware supplies.

This will be All States Ag Parts’ tenth location. The purchase is a planned expansion of the the company’s current product line with an emphasis on its wholesale division.

“This is a great acquisition for us,” said John Dyke, CEO of All States Ag Parts. “We’re happy to be in the heart of California’s agricultural area and look forward to serving the farms, vineyards and orchards here,” said Dyke.

Steve Mahaney, a previous co-owner and son of John Mahaney, will stay on board to manage the Sacramento operation. All current employees will be offered employment with All States Ag Parts.

“Current John F. Mahaney Company customers, working through our sales team, will continue to have access to the same products and programs,” said Mahaney, “but will have access to many additional products in the very near future.”

The Sacramento location will continue to operate under the John F. Mahaney Company name.
