Texas: Plains Cotton Growers Weekly Quality Reports

The latest Quality Reports from the Lubbock, Lamesa, and Abilene Classing Offices are available online from a link on PCG’s website.

These reports also are available directly from this page, where all available weekly reports for the 2018 season will be listed and linked.

In Lubbock, 6,801 bales were classed this last week, bringing the season total to 3,380,703. Almost 44% of the bales classed for the week and 60.6% for the season so far are color grade 31 and better. Average leaf is 5.04 for the week and 3.40 for the season. Average length is 36.97 for the week and 36.12 for the season. Average micronaire for the week is 3.70 and 4.07 for the season.

In Lamesa, 9,305 bales were classed this last week, bringing the season total to 877,521. Just more than 43% of bales classed for the week and 58.4% for the season are color grade 31 or better.  Average leaf is 3.72 for the week and 3.35 for the season. Average length is 35.49 for the week and 35.91 for the season. Average micronaire for the week is 3.53 and 3.99 for the season.
