An integrative cover crop study has been implemented in the last two years in Merced, Tehama, and Kern counties. Many researchers have been looking at the effect of different vegetative covers on parameters such as soil health, weed suppression, nematode suppression, NOW management, pollination, and orchard water dynamics in almond orchards. A free field day will be hosted March 21st, 2019 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM in Merced County at 7250 Fox Rd Winton, CA, 95388.

Come learn about “fresh-out-of-the-orchard” results from the cover crop trials from UCD, UCCE and other specialists. Continuing education credits have been applied for.
