Louisiana Pecan Prices: Growers Looking for Markets for Remaining Nuts

Plenty of rain over the last two weeks during the holiday break.

Offerings are very light and growers are searching for a market for their remaining pecans that are still available. Some offerings have been turned away due to excess moisture, sprouting and black rot.

Prices paid to growers (late afternoon December 18, 2018 thru late afternoon January 3, 2019) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.
