Oklahoma Pecan Prices: Harvest Mostly Complete, Extremely Light Deliveries

Deliveries by growers were extremely light this week. No movement other than small volumes from backyard harvesters was reported. Harvesting is mostly completed. Last week’s winter weather impacted a few areas finishing harvest.

Sheller interest turned light this week decreasing demand from most buying points despite the limited offerings. A good deal of low yielding and low quality pecans continue being offered.

The weather forecast this week calling for highs in the upper 50s to mid 40s and lows in the upper 30s to upper 20s.

Prices paid to growers (noon Tuesday, December 04, 2018 to noon Tuesday, December 11, 2018) at buyers delivery points or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound, in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.

  • Natives/Seedlings (deliveries very light) yard tree lots 60-75
