Auburn Extension cotton entomologist, Dr. Ron Smith,  and Extension agronomist Eddie McGriff will host a mid-season cotton scout school and insect meeting on Wednesday, July 25. We will meet at 10 am at Nick McMichen’s shop at 3100 County Road 13, Centre and spend about 30 minutes in the shop discussing cotton insect concerns before going across the road and doing a mini-scout school in his two-gene cotton.

We will leave about 11:30 and meet  in the back room of Bar-B-Que Place & More at 800 Alexis Road in Centre for lunch where Dr. Smith will have an informal meeting as well as a question and answer session on cotton insect concerns (escaped bollworms, stinkbugs, aphids, plant bugs, etc.).

All are welcome to attend one or both of the meetings. No need to call in, just show up.
