A spring almond and walnut nutrient and water management field day will be held on March 27 at the California Almond Packers and Exporters (CAPEX)
building at 21275 Simpson Road in Corning, starting at 8:30 a.m. The event’s field site will be 1.2 miles west of the plant on Simpson Road.
The program includes an overview by the Almond Board of California and a series of rotating stations that will cover a range of topics, including:
- Nitrogen Management in walnut.
- Soil and water testing for planning and feedback.
- Forward tissue sampling and overview of best management practice trials to manage nitrogen and water.
- Tools for irrigation efficiency and timing.
