There will be two wheat production meetings geared towards producing high yields on Monday, August 14. There is an opportunity with better wheat prices for wheat/soybeans in growers’ rotation.
Speakers will be Dr. Dewey Lee, University of Georgia Professor Emeritus of Small Grains and Corn, and Dr. Kathy Flanders, Alabama Extension Entomologist.
Dr. Lee is one of the nation’s leading experts on wheat and corn production. He will be discussing production practices for growing high yield wheat. He will also give an update on this year’s corn crop. Dr. Flanders will give a wheat insect update.
A meal will be served at the meetings. Please e-mail me at Dem0029@auburn.edu or call me at 256-557-2375 if you plan on attending and which location (we need a head count for the meals).
