For peanut growers, the Peanut Disease Risk Index (Peanut Rx) is a great way to assess how various production practices contribute disease incidence.

Different factors like variety, planting date, irrigation type, at-plant insecticides, etc are given a score based on how likely they are to contribute to various diseases.  You can then calculate your own score based on your practices and see high your risk of disease is on your operation.

This is a great way to assess whether growers are making the right production decisions when it comes to disease control.

Peanut Rx is updated every year by Extension specialists from all over the Southeast including Dan Anco and Nathan Smith of Clemson.  You can click and download the PDF here.
