Texas: Private Applicators License Training, Canyon, June 15

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Randall County will conduct a Texas Department of Agriculture Private Applicators License Training on June 15.

The training will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kuhlman Extension Center, 200 N. Brown Road in Canyon.

“This is not a CEU training, none will be available,” said Dr. J. D. Ragland, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Randall County. “This is for persons who do not have the required TDA license needed for the purchase and application of restricted use chemicals.”

The cost will be $10 per participant payable at the door. An RSVP is required by 5 p.m. June 13 to the AgriLife Extension office in Randall County at 806-468-5543.

“If you are planning to attend, you must order and bring with you the required training handbook, Using Pesticides Private Applicators Manual,” Ragland said. “This manual is needed and will be used as a reference for the training.”

To order the manual, go here. The manual cost is $40 and is payable online by credit card.

“Again you must have this manual on hand, and bring it with you the day of the training,” Ragland stressed.

For more information, contact Ragland at the AgriLife Extension office or j-ragland@tamu.edu.
