The U.S. average retail regular gasoline price increased five cents from the previous week to $2.01 per gallon on March 21, surpassing $2.00 per gallon for the first time since January 4, but 45 cents lower than the same time last year.
The West Coast price increased nine cents to $2.48 per gallon. The Gulf Coast price rose six cents to $1.81 per gallon.
The East Coast price increased five cents to $1.94 per gallon.
The Rocky Mountain price rose four cents to $1.90 per gallon and the Midwest price was up one cent to $1.94 per gallon.
