    Arizona: Alfalfa, Wheat in Mostly Good Condition – USDA

    Crop Progress and Condition for the Week Ending April 12, 2015.

    Alfalfa conditions were mostly fair to excellent, depending on location. Harvesting occurred on over three-fourths of the alfalfa acreage across the State. Barley conditions were mostly fair to good and Durum Wheat conditions were mostly good. Rangeland conditions varied widely from very poor to good, depending on location.

    Central Arizona growers had no movement last week. Western Arizona growers shipped arugula, broccoli, Chinese cabbage, red and green cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cilantro, kale greens, various lettuce including Boston, iceberg, romaine, green and red leaf lettuce, parsley, spinach, and Swiss chard last week.
