Need commercial pesticide credits?
The Coffee County Extension office will
host a pesticide training via satellite on Friday, March 26, at our office at
709 East Ward Street, Douglas. Check-in and registration will begin at 8:30
a.m. and the workshop will end at 4:30 pm.
Registration will be on-site. The
price is $30 for commercial applicators and $15 for private applicators.
Cash and checks will be accepted. Checks need to be made out to the Georgia
Crop Protection Alliance.
The Georgia Department of Agriculture will award the credits as follows:
Commercial applicators in categories 21 (Plant Ag) and 24 (Ornamental and
Turf) can receive 5 hours.
All other categories (except structural
categories 28,29 and 30) and private applicators can receive two hours
credit. Participants have to attend five hours of the training to get five
hours credit or two hours to get two hours credit.
The morning session is
targeted toward row crops.
The afternoon session is targeted toward turf and
ornamental.
The middle session of the day will be of interest to nearly any
category.
