Penton Media Will Close Several Southern Farm Magazines
Penton Media, publisher of Farm Press publications and a number of other national and regional farm magazines, announced that it would close several Sunbelt ag magazines that were part of the Farm Progress company, which it bought in November.
Publications set to be closed include Farm Progress’s:
- Carolina-Virginia Farmer.
- Southern Farmer, Mid-South Farmer.
- The Farmer-Stockman.
- California Farmer.
Penton’s Farm Industry News also will be recast to cover technology for production agriculture.
The publications to be cut overlap in terms of coverage areas and focus with Farm Press publications.
Penton announced the closures in a press release that detailed reorganization plans as it brings Farm Progress properties into its marketing program.
