    Georgia Cotton Production Meeting Set For Atkinson And Coffee Counties

    Guy Collins, University of Georgia Extension Cotton Specialist, will update Atkinson and Coffee County growers about 2013 variety choices and new information on production practices during a joint meeting on January 29 at the Coffee County Extension Office.

    The office is located at 709 East Ward Street in Douglas, and the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes dinner.

    Attendees will receive the 2012 Cotton Production Handbook and the Pigweed Herbicide Management Guide.

    Please call 912-384-1402 or 912-422-3277 if you plan to attend. That helps ensure enough food is on hand for dinner.

    Two hours of private and commercial pesticide pesticide application hours will be given.
