    Weekly Rice Exports Increase

    Net rice sales of 33,700 metric tons (MT) were down 63 percent from the previous week and 58 percent less than the prior four-week average according to U.S. Department of Agriculture Export Sales Highlights report. Increases were reported for Nicaragua (6,000 MT), Liberia (5,700 MT), Canada (4,300 MT), Mexico (3,700 MT), and Spain (3,500 MT).  Exports of 49,000 MT were 44 percent less than the previous week and 32 percent less than the prior four-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (25,000 MT), Haiti (7,300 MT), Taiwan (6,100 MT), Jordan (2,500 MT), and Canada (2,100 MT).
