    Weekly Rice Exports Increase

    Net rice sales of 92,100 metric tons  (MT) were 36 percent more than the previous week and 21 percent more than the prior four-week average according to U.S. Department of Agriculture Export Sales Highlights report. Increases were reported for Costa Rica (34,000 MT), Mexico (21,200 MT), Haiti (20,900 MT), unknown destinations (7,000 MT), and Canada (6,100 MT).  Exports of 87,900 MT increased noticeably from the previous week and 28 percent more than the prior four-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (28,900 MT), Turkey (12,800 MT), Mexico (10,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (8,100 MT), and Haiti (6,900 MT).
